I’ve had the pleasure of working with a range of customers, from those traveling for industry leading agri-tech, down to rural parts of South America, to moving pro sports teams of 60-70 people. Most recently was seeing the fast work and high touch support for a film production fellowship. They needed support for complex international itineraries flying into LA, while remaining "fly America" compliant. Due to sociopolitical reasons the trip was cancelled. The Travel Manager did an amazing job of supporting the customer and has picked things up just this past month, to get ~30 participants out for this fellowship from across the globe. I can’t wait to see the work/films they put together and be a small part of that.

During the CrowdStrike worldwide outage, we had a client who was in Germany and trying to get home for a family wedding when his flights were cancelled. The next available flight was not for 6 days but we put the whole team on the situation continually checking surrounding airports and refreshing availability when suddenly one seat opened up on a flight out of an airport 3 hours away. We immediately grabbed the seat and issued the ticket for him and booked him a train to the airport and he made it home in time for the wedding!

I would say that something that we always do, myself and my team, is contact a hotel when the client is cancelling within the cancellation period and request the cancellation fee is waived. Getting the cast of a reality show to Santorini plus 80 media bags there - they needed to go to Santorini roundtrip with media bags. I was able to advise them; there was no way to get the media bags to Santorini via air. They instead were going to go connect in O'Hare and land in Athens roundtrip, and then have their local fixer team pick up the bags at ATH and take the ferry over to Santorini by car. The flight to O'Hare was also too small of a plane to ensure they would get all of the bags on board, we I had them fly to Chicago the night before and their bags driven by freight. Their crew picked it up at ORD and checked all of the bags ORD – ATH and got them all there.

Being part of any partnership that provides support in a tough time for our travelers is really special.
