Corporate Traveler and the World Golf Competition have announced a new partnership that will bring together the best amateur golfers from around the world to compete in a first-of-its-kind, year-long, global amateur golf event. The inaugural competition teeing off next year will feature more than 300 rounds of golf on over 200 different courses spanning 20 countries across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

As the event’s official travel manager, Corporate Traveler will play an integral role in connecting the global golf community by coordinating travel plans for more than 13,000 registered qualifiers. All participants will receive a package that includes high-class travel, luxury accommodations, premium dining, and unparalleled access to some of the world’s most iconic and exclusive courses.

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to partner with the World Golf Competition and to be able to support the launch of their inaugural competition next year,” said John Van den Heuvel, President, Corporate Traveler USA. “We are looking forward to playing our part to inspire and celebrate the amateur golf community and bring people together across the globe for this dynamic event that has the power to transcend borders.”

The event is designed to provide players with a unique golfing experience that will allow them to live the life of a professional golfer, as they will be competing under professional tournament conditions on championship courses that have previously hosted major tournaments. In the United States, the amateurs will get to play on some of the country’s top courses, including TPC Sawgrass in Florida, Pebble Beach Golf Links in California, Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina, Mystic Rock at Nemacolin in Pennsylvania, Whistling Straits Golf Course in Wisconsin, Pinehurst No. 4 in North Carolina, and more.

“The World Gold Competition is like nothing the golfing world has seen before – to give amateur players the opportunity to experience the life of a top 100 professional, combined with luxury services and played on golf courses they wouldn’t otherwise have access to is unheard of,” said World Golf Competition Co-Founder Jon Kerr. “It’s an exciting time to be in golf, and this competition is bigger than just the game as we’re diving into the technology, culture, fashion, and lifestyle that underpins the true, modern golfing experience, to give players the full experience.”

“We’re incredibly proud to have cemented relationships with high quality, best-in-breed partners such as Corporate Traveler, which will allow the player to indulge in the full experience – from the clubs, course, outfits, accommodations, travel, and more,” Kerr said. “It will be a massive global travel logistical challenge to be able to successfully execute the competition – which is why we know Corporate Traveler is the team for the job due to their years of experience and high customer satisfaction scores. They have a strong track record of delivering a seamless, full-service experience for travelers, and that’s exactly what this competition needs.”

The openings rounds of the year-long competition will get underway in February 2025, with the World Final expected to take place in November 2025 at the Punta Espada Golf Club in the Dominican Republic. Players will have the opportunity to win from a total prize pool of $5 million.
