Virgin Australia has overhauled its in-flight menu options with free food on all flights in its domestic network. The carrier's free in-flight snack and drink offering had previously only been available on flights between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane but will be extended to all routes. The new free service caters to the time of day and flight time with a range of new snacks for breakfast, brunch, lunch and supper. Virgin Australia continues to offer complimentary tea, coffee, juice and water on all flights, complimentary wine, beer and soft drink served in Happy Hour from 5pm-7pm Monday to Friday. Passengers looking for a little extra sustenance on their domestic flights can still take advantage of Virgin Australia's regular on board retail menu. The move follows recent changes to Virgin Australia's domestic and trans-Tasman fare structure which eliminated Saver Lite seat-only fares on domestic routes. The carrier's new streamlined fare structure has also introduced free checked baggage for all domestic airfares and free in-flight entertainment for all passengers.
