More than one third of business travellers plan to take more trips in 2014 compared to 2013 according to recent survey from Frequent Business Traveller magazine.
Results found more than 93 per cent of respondents prefer to stick to favoured airlines while 72 per cent do the same with hotels.
This preference is so strong the respondents even indicated they would still book with their favourite airline or alliance even if more convenient flights could be found with a competitor.
55 per cent said they would still stay at their favourite brand of hotel even if it wasn't in a particularly convenient location.
A total of 84 per cent of travellers said they preferred to work based from their hotel, and 86 per cent typically do so in their own room or suite.
Almost six per cent of respondents said they would work from the hotel lounge but less than one per cent would work from the hotel lobby.
Results also revealed 10 per cent of travellers eat in the on-site hotel restaurants and seven per cent also take advantage of room service.
Wi-Fi continues to be a dominating feature of positive accommodation experiences, with almost eight in 10 survey respondents saying complimentary Wi-Fi affects their choice of hotel. However, the number of travellers who use Wi-Fi while in the air fell to 38 per cent in 2013 compared to 60 per cent last year.
